Cold flu season- are you and your home prepared?

Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces is one way to cut down the number of cold and flu germs in your house.
What surfaces in your home are most likely to be sources of contamination?
The door handlers and locks, light switches, toilet handlers,faucets,cupboard handlers, phones, keyboards and mouses, stairs railing.

How to disinfect these surfaces in your home?
You can use household disinfectant according to directions on the product label. Here some recommendations from David Suzuki Foundation how to choose disinfectants.
If you prefer to make your own disinfectant you can use alcohol 65% and up to disinfect your surfaces. Take a 50% alcohol and 50% water and mix. Spray disinfectant on surface and wait 10 minute. Wipe it away with paper towel or clean cloth.
